Pending Circle Requests
Learn how to review circle access requests, approve the right people, and keep control of who joins your circle.
The Pending Circle Requests area is where you review and manage requests from users who want to join your circle.
These requests are generated when someone enters one of your Connect Codes or scans a QR Code.
You must approve a request before a user is added to your circle.
Overview
The Pending Circle Requests area is where you review and manage requests from users who want to join your circle.
These requests are generated when someone enters one of your Connect Codes or scans a QR Code.
You must approve a request before a user is added to your circle.
How It Works
- You share a Connect Code or QR Code
- A user enters the code and requests access
- The request appears in your Pending Circle Requests
- You review the request
- You approve or decline
What You Can Do
For each request, you have two options:
Approve
- The user is added to your circle
- They can now see your Events and Locations
Decline
- The user is not added
- They do not gain access
Why This Matters
Pending Requests give you full control over your circle.
Key benefits:
- Intentional growth
- Protection from unknown users
- Flexibility without risk
Your circle grows only with people you choose
Codes can be shared widely, but approval keeps things secure
You can share codes freely without losing control
When You'll Use This
You'll interact with Pending Requests when:
- You've shared a Connect Code with friends
- You've posted or displayed a QR Code
- Someone discovers your circle and requests access
Real-World Example
You display a QR Code at an event or share a Connect Code online.
People you do not know personally may request access.
Instead of automatically joining:
- Their requests appear in your dashboard
- You review each one
- You decide who gets in
Best Practices
To manage requests effectively:
- Review requests regularly
- Approve people you recognize or expect
- Decline requests that do not feel relevant
- Keep your circle aligned with your intent (social, professional, close friends, etc.)
Tips
- If you're expecting requests, check this area frequently
- If you shared a code broadly, expect a mix of familiar and unfamiliar names
- Approval is your filter, use it confidently
Summary
Pending Circle Requests ensure that your circle stays intentional.
They allow you to:
- Review every request
- Approve only the right people
- Maintain control, even when sharing widely
